Veneer in the bathroom
Real wood in a bathroom? Up till now experts generally advised against it. But the warm and natural glow of wood lends a wonderful wellness atmosphere to the bath. Now the veneer producer Schorn & Groh and the a-mano cabinet- maker, both of Karlsruhe, are demonstrating how flexible veneer is. It all depends on the processing. With the right lacquering, veneer can stand up to all the water drops a moist environment offers.
For the fronts of the pieces a combination of glass and fleeced veneers was chosen for the materials' elegance and timelessness. Produced with a DD lacquer seal, the veneer is suitable for use in a moist location.
Its tonal qualities give users of the bath a feeling of well-being. The downward slant to the cabinets' fronts is vaguely reminiscent of a ship's hull and adds a certain lightness to the pieces.
