In the oak cluster the observer is presented with a fascinating and lively figure. Dark brown nests which are clearly distinguishable from each other contain the burls. Between them are the wavy to circular light brown patterns of the annual rings. The decorative element in this work of art is further enhanced by the strikingly large pith rays of the oak which emphasize the depth of the figure.Ingrown particles of bark make it difficult to obtain a uniform veneer figure.
