Forwarding merchant (m/f/d)
These are your tasks:
- In coordination with our sales department and warehouse, you will keep track of all incoming and outgoing goods movements.
- You coordinate the shipping dates/processes with our customers and suppliers. You will obtain freight offers from logistics service providers, commission them and monitor their timely execution.
- You prepare all relevant documents for the import and delivery of our goods depending on country-specific import and export regulations, CITES regulations, preferential agreements or the payment terms agreed with the customer (e.g. cash against document or L/C processing.) You also handle the customs procedures for import and export with ATLAS.
- In addition, together with an experienced colleague, you will map our veneer and lumber inventory in our merchandise management system TIMBERplus. Together you monitor the production at our external partners and enter new goods receipts in our system. In addition, you will record the costs of the new goods and thus ensure the basis for our controlling.
- After your induction, you will prospectively take over the management of our export/logistics department and thus also other tasks such as the management of our vehicle fleet and forklifts or the monitoring of inspection dates.
That characterizes you:
- You have successfully completed your professional training as a forwarding agent (m/f/d) or as a forwarding and logistics services merchant (m/f/d), foreign trade merchant (m/f/d) or as an industrial merchant (m/f/d) and have subsequently ideally gained experience in import/export processing.
- You act carefully, accurately and independently and are able to handle even complex matters in a structured and reliable manner.
- You are able to communicate diplomatically, goal-oriented and assertively with both forwarding agents and customs authorities at the same time.
- You have good knowledge of the customs program "ATLAS" as well as MS Office applications.
- Good German and English skills complete your profile.
