What do you enjoy doing in your free time when you're not busy with marketing at Schorn & Groh?
I am an avid cyclist, restaurant reviewer, and traveler. Whenever I get the chance, I’m either on a tour, on vacation, or out for a meal, discovering the best spots in the area. On quieter days, I also enjoy just listening to music or creating imaginative digital graphic compositions on the computer, and editing my vacation photos.
What excites you most about Schorn & Groh, and what are you looking forward to in your new role?
What excites me the most is the balance between the natural product and the highly developed digital systems that support and optimize the processes, whether it's social media presence, digital inventory management, or the interconnectedness of the sales team. To build upon this and helping to shape and modernize corporate communications really motivates me to do more.
What experience have you gained in your field previously, and how do you hope to apply it at Schorn & Groh?
My initial passion for online marketing began during an internship at a large full-service agency in Hamburg. Analyzing markets, target groups, and the developments the internet has brought us over the past 20 years have always fascinated me. Picking the best of these to maintain and secure Schorn & Groh’s performance and quality in the long term is an exciting task.
What goals have you set for yourself in your new position at Schorn & Groh, and how do you plan to achieve them?
As a marketing professional at Schorn & Groh, my goals are clearly focused on the digitization and modernization of processes, specifically in online marketing. I aim to ensure that Schorn & Groh offers added value to both existing and potential customers across all channels. Additionally, I am particularly passionate about raising awareness of our soft veneer NUO. Together with the subsidiary, I hope this product becomes a standard in our customers' material choices and beyond.

[Marc-Oliver Dopf] The combination of tradition and the variety and possibilities of wood veneers at Schorn & Groh has impressed me. What experiences have you had in your field, and how do you hope to apply them at Schorn & Groh?
[Marc-Oliver Dopf] The wood and veneer industry is entirely new to me. However, I bring extensive experience from various industries and areas, including the EMS sector, mechanical engineering, private equity, consulting, and a global corporation. In these roles, I gained valuable insights into process optimization, financial management, and strategic development. These diverse experiences allow me to bring new perspectives and innovative approaches to the wood and veneer industry. I am excited to apply my knowledge and skills at Schorn & Groh and to help advance the company further.
