From Passion to Profession: Leo's Inspiring Start in the Wood and Veneer World at Schorn & Groh

Have you ever considered working in the wood and veneer sector at Schorn & Groh?

Today, we introduce you to our youngest colleague by age, who has been with our company for 3 months . His name is Leo Weyherter, he's 22 years old, and he studied Forestry and Environment at the University of Freiburg in southwestern Germany.

After completing various internships in forest administration and the timber trade, he decided to start working in this field. Leo will be responsible for purchase of round logs and their production.

This is his first experience and it seems that a successful career journey awaits him as he is a smart and highly motivated individual, striving to do his job excellently. Over the years, he has cultivated a desire and passion for the wood industry, recalling that from a young age he was passionate about it.

When asked why he chose to apply to our company for a job, Leo responds: "I had information that it's one of the leading companies in this industry and that in recent years they have invested heavily in technological innovations in wood processing and veneers. I have in mind companies like NUO GmbH and Muto GmbH. After completing my studies, I had no time to waste as I had clear ideas. I prepared a CV and applied at Schorn & Groh. He smiles... I'm lucky they accepted me. I'm also proud to work for a company that promotes sustainability and has a positive impact on the environment."

Leo is always eager to share his passion and vast knowledge about veneers, wood materials, and combined veneers.
