Olive ash is a very decorative variety of veneer. It owes its name to the unusual color, which unlike the brown core of the heartwood, resembles the hue of the olive tree. Characteristic of this wood are the highly visible wavy zones of alternating olive or dark brown and whitish yellow tones which present an eye-catching and vivid striped grain on the radial surface.
