Exclusive and attractive are suitable adjectives for the veneer figure in Burma tulipwood. Like all types of the Dalbergia family, this species has black-brown color areas and streaks. The basic color ranges from yellowish orange to brown with very little contrast. Relatively often a slight cross-grain can be seen. The veneer figure is further influenced by the frequent occurrence of dull mineral deposits.
