Moabi is a very large tree with well-formed and knotless trunk from 20 to 30m and diameter could be from 0.8 to 1.5m and occasionally also over 2.5m. The core wood color is from dusky pink to brown-pink, but sometimes it also looks like mahogany - a red tint that goes into reddish-grey. The texture is fine with straight veins. The structure is firm and unsteady.
