Plaited veneers open up a new dimension in terms of design! The latest creation of Schorn & Groh is called muto GRID. The patterns are fascinatingly three-dimensional, which you can see and also feel.
The unusual product is created from individual, pre-sanded veneer sheets. Thanks to a fleece backing, the veneers are also easy and versatile to process. The products of the muto GRID series have a high strength and can still be bent well. They are therefore also suitable for deformations and substrates that are difficult to process. The veneer sheets can be processed without any problems, like normal spliced veneers, and, for example, pressed onto panels with any common veneer press without any further difficulties.
Muto GRID is available in a standard size of 2.44 m x 1.22 m. The thickness of a sheet is about 1 to 1.2 mm (depending on each design).
Standard collection
Currently three captivating designs in the wood specie Fineline (type Grey Oak) and in the wood species Natural Oak as well as two designs in the wood species Fineline (type Wenge) are available from stock.
Exclusive collection
Besides the standard collection we also offer customized variants, so as to cover even highly specialized customer requirements. Your fantasy knows no bounds here! The only requirement being the minimum width of 2 cm for the individual strips. muto GRID exclusive can be produced up to a maximum size of about 3,050 x 1,220 mm. Depending on the complexity of the design and the amount ordered the production time can range from two to six weeks.
Awards
“interzum award: intelligent material & design” sees a jury of experts give awards to the best products in the international furniture supplier industry. Only interzum exhibitors are permitted to take part in the design competition, which Koelnmesse is already hosting for the ninth time in collaboration with Red Dot. The award emphasises the significance of design as a value added factor and is used by the award-winners as a reliable label to set themselves apart from competitors in a positive way on a large market.
